Dear Miss S.--
We have been told not to apologize to you or tell you how much we regret all of this. We've been told alot of things, not all of which have been right. But I know this page is right, dedicated to you and your courage.
Your mother must hold you to her heart every morning and every evening, and live in fear each day that someone else might try to hurt you. That is what I would do in her shoes. Know every day in your heart that I weep for you, and if I could give you my life to return yours to you before this happened, I would not think twice about doing so. Brent, too, is sorry about his actions. He is not sorry because he got caught, but because he truly did not intend to hurt an innocent person, who did nothing to provoke such treatment.
Know also upon rising each day that you are a beautiful young woman, that you have worth in this world, and that we will pray for you to overcome this experience each and every day for the rest of your life. We thank God you are with us on this earth. You did exactly what you should have done, and we admire as well your courage.
We have asked everyone we speak with to let you be and not bother you with this constant reminder of your fear. I truly hope that request is being honored. I would like to help you regain your confidence, though I know that is not possible. Still, I owe you a great emotional debt for what you have lost, and remain in your service lest you need to call. May love, luck and laughter return to your life, and may you live happily into your golden years with no more fear and no more pain. May only the best of blessings befall you.
Sincerest Regards-
Brent's mom
PS-- We're glad to hear that you are feeling a little better, and commend your family for giving you a new environment in which you may someday feel safe again. Our prayers are with you.
